Synopsis
Stripper Wives of Atlanta, is a 30 minute reality show centered around the world of adult entertainment. The show features six exotic dancers – The OG, The Ingénue, The Married Mother, The Pansexual, The Girl Next Door, and The Former Stripper. Over the course of fifteen episodes (one season), we delve into their lives both inside of the club and during off hours as they go about their daily lives.
The show touches on how each woman got into the industry, how their significant others feel about their profession, and the stigma they face as strippers. There’s drama, but not the manufactured cat-fight kind. The drama in this series is organic, as we see as each episode unfolds, revealing the tantalizing truth behind the often stigmatized world of stripping. There is also a strong musical presence in the show. The show will feature upcoming singers, and musicians, as well as established performers.

Cast
Pilot
Stripper Wives of Atlanta opens up with theme music, a remake of Donna Summer’s She Works Hard for the Money. The main characters appear onscreen one-by-one, as the music plays.
The opening scene is outside of an upscale adult entertainment club. The club is a living breathing character of the show.
It’s evening, and both men and women, dressed stylishly are eagerly waiting behind a red velvet rope. The keeper of the gate is a beefy bouncer who checks I.D.’s, letting them in one at a time. Inside the club, the lights are low, the music is pumping and the drinks are flowing. Spirited patrons are, drinking, laughing, talking, and making it rain as they toss money onstage.
Viibe, (The OG dancer), is on the main stage working her magic. Her talents are remarkable as she suspends herself upside down high on the pole with her legs spread eagle. She flips right- side up, and drops a few inches at a time. When she’s mere inches from the floor, she bounces down into a full split. The room goes wild, and more money rains down on her. She stands up, twerks, blows kisses, scoops up her loot, and struts off the stage. Tonight is audition night. The club holds live auditions for new dancers, every month. The DJ announces the first dancer (name TBD). Unlike the OG, this dancer is inexperienced. She struggles to work her way up the pole. Halfway up, she slides back down. The crowd boos. She doesn’t make it rain, not even drizzle. The DJ tells her to get off the stage. She leaves holding her head down, clearly embarrassed.
The next dancer (name TBD), a thick voluptuous woman, approaches the pole with confidence. She shocks the crowd by doing a handstand, while at the same time wrapping her thick thighs around the pole. Her routine is sensual as she moves slowly and sexually, driving the crowd crazy. Money litters the stage as she’s cheered on. The DJ announces that the winner, it’s the thick dancer. Cut to the dressing room. The room is abuzz with the dancers in various stages of getting ready to perform. Some are doing their makeup. Some are half-naked. Some are stretching. Some are taking a smoke break.
Mimi is sitting at her station, rubbing her inner thigh, her leg and it’s bruised, black and blue. Her face registers pain. Another dancer asks if she’s okay. She says that she hurt her leg, bouncing down too hard into the split. She says that her days of dancing for dollars is coming to an end. She’s been in the game since she was in her early twenties. She’s now a wife and mother, and ready to retire. Cut to the Mimi’s house. She’s in the kitchen, dressed in a robe, making lunch for her kids. After her kids leave for school, she takes off the robe, revealing her stripper outfit. She walks down the hallway, goes into her bedroom, takes off her getup and goes to bed.
Cut to the following evening. Sarah is in the dressing room, schooling the girls on how to win Stripper of the Month. Viibe has won the contest for the last six months (ever since the former winner retired). She rolls her eyes. This is her territory now, and resents Sarah coming in taking control, like she still reigns supreme. Viibe says, “I win every month because I’m the BEST! Period.” She goes on to say that once she retires the girls can fight over the title, until then it’s hers to take. Mimi says, “We’ll see about that.”
Later that evening, the contest begins. The girls are dancing hard, competing against each other. Viibe wins and the other dancers show their discontent with their nasty remarks (out of earshot of Viibe). Viibe struts past everyone fanning her money (clearly showing off).
Confessional of Viibe, in her walk-in closet showing her designer purses and shoes. She says that dancing has afforded her not only luxury goods, put a comfortable lifestyle, and she’s not going to let any of the dancers knock her off the throne. She’ll step down, when she’s good and ready.
